Enabling community participation

Involving clients and the community in the design and build of a new structure is at the heart of our work here at amazonails.

We firmly believe that everyone can contribute and participate in the buildings they live and work in, and that involving people, finding out what they want and need, can contribute to stronger social ties and buildings that are more responsive to local needs.

How can we help?

Over the past 12 years, as we have developed our strawbale buildings we have always invited owners to join in the build, and invite their friends and community. We train, encourage and support this building, and have enabled hundreds of people to be involved in creating the sustainable homes they really want.

More recently we have provided advice and consultancy to groups and organisations who want to involve clients, tenants or the community at a design stage, which provides even more opportunities for people to understand and support the process of building sustainably.
